What to take for a 5 day holiday?

I am sitting here in my bedroom, looking at my make-up collection and wondering what I should pack for my 5 day holiday. On wednesday I am going to Cyprus to meet my family, who are already out there. I was supposed to with them yesterday (Sunday) but because of some University comittments I couldn't, I am going all on my own on Wednesday morning.

I have never been on a holiday abroad that was shorter than a week and for some reason these 2 less days makes a HUGE difference in my head. I am only taking hand luggage as I was feeling extremely tight when I purchased the flight ticket and decided I did not want to give the company an extra £30 for a suitcase. Starting to regret that decision purely due to the fact that you are no longer allowed to take any more than 100ml in liquid per bottle on a flight and you also have to put all of your liquid products in a small plastic bag.

You are probably wondering how I am going to fit all my make-up and outfits into one carry on? Well, I gave my sister my outfits too take in her case that went on Sunday. Therefore all I have to take is my make-up, Uni stuff, magazines etc on the flight!

Now when I pack my make-up, I always pack it at least a day in advance. The reason behind this is you only use the make-up in you make-up bag to get ready the day you flight out, this way if you have forgotten anything essential it will be extremely obvious and you can pop it in your bag before you go.

Everything I will be taking on holiday I already have in my collection, except for a Collection 2000, Lasting Perfections Concealor in a shade darker than I normally am.

Graduation Day

Yes, today is the day that millions of people, all over the world look forward to, the day when all of your hard work and determination is worth while. For a short period of time today I was classed as a Graduate.

After that extremely vivid introduction you are about to experience the let down of all let downs. Today was my graduation, however I was graduating from college not university. Reading that back, it makes it sound like I am belittling college. The reason why it seemed pointless was due to the fact that 95% of the people from my class are now in further education.

I am now going to assume that some background knowledge is needed. I am currently at University studying Human Resourse Management (hons) but before that I went to college and studied Administration and Information Technology. Random, i know!

Now on to that exciting part that everyone that enjoys beauty, this is what I wore.

The dress code was white shirt, black skirt, black tights and black shoes. That my friend was exactly what I wore. However, I did get to wear jewellery and paint my nails.

Nails ...

I am truely in love with this combination. I have also jumped on the band wagon in relation to painting my nails all one colour and painting the ring finger on each hand just a little bit differently.

The polish on the majority of my nails is Barry M in the colour Mushroom. Then the polish on my ring finger is Models Own in the colour Champagne.

What do you think of my low cost nail polish combination?

Yet another rainy Sunday...

Well, you may have guessed from the title of this blog that it was raining today (I know what a surprise for Scotland) but being a proud Scot, rain did not deter me from the shops.

This I think internet will be the blog post that really shows my love for all things beauty and fashion. I am very aware of the fact that I now sound like a regular girl, and guess what?? I am.

Okay, so enough of my rambling, which I would get used to, as I do tend to ramble ALOT!!

Today I went into town with my sister. We went for lunch which was delicous and incase you are wonder, I had a cheese, ham and falafel wrap and a Diet Coke.

Then the inevitable happened... we shopped!

First place we went was a little shop to get some earings. Absolutly nothing fancy, I got a clear plug (1.6mm) and a sterling silver hoop. The sister got a plain belly bar and she also got herself a little  hoop.

Then we headed to the main event - Primark

To be brutally honest, I was so disappionted in Primark and only came out with one item, and believe me when I say thats a first. Anyways on to the item itself.

Thoughts on the item itself... I'm still not sure if I will get any wear out of it, or if it will join the hundreds of other items in my wardrobe that at one point or another seemed like a "good idea".

The next place we went was topshop, I have been searching for a pair of shoes for ages that are black with silver details, and apparently I am looking for the impossible, so I came out of topshop minus a pair of shoes but plus another top...

You may have seen tops like this in lots of magazines and they all look really "cool" and I totally agree they are so adorable but with a sort of edgy look.

This top is not my usual style, normally I wear something I would call -- Granny. I wear alot of dress's, cardi's, flat pumps and scarfs. But something about this top really took my fancy.

As of just now I am going to team it with a black skirt (I shall tuck the top in), black tights, shoes or boots, and a cardi which will all be black also. Then if I am feeling really daring I will add vintage scarf to add just a little bit of colour. Dont want to look like I am going to a funeral very time I am wearing the outfit.

So, thats the only things I purchased, thanks for reading and I will check in again very soon.

xx

Well hello there ...

Looking at this blank text box, Im really not sure where to start. I feel like I should have made a huge life decision and come to people for advice, but too be totally honest, I'm sitting here in my room at 5pm on a saturday night in my comfy clothes. This to be honest isn't "living the dream" in many peoples eyes, but hey its the my life and my dream.

So I feel just now would be a great time to actually let you know who is behind the terrible spelling! Well I am Yasmin Christina, just about even calls me Yasmin so feel free, I currently live in Scotland and well I have always lived in Scotland. I am 18 years old and extremely scared about my birthday coming for this is when I will enter my last year as a teenager but that is another extremely long story, that  am sure within the next few weeks will turn itself into another really badly written blog post...

As I sit her wonder what should I say and how much information about my life is just a little bit too much to put on the internet I have decided that I seriously don't know the answer to my own question.

Therfore for now I am going to say bye for now....

Ohh one last thing, I am lovingg the song Iris by Goo Goo Dolls
